A woman in transition, smiling into her future, taking control of her destiny and enjoying every moment.

Sydney posed for some portraits with me. This one is at the top of my favorites.

One of the things I have to do, when working to get a good portrait, is spend time getting to know one another. We talked about her move to another State, seeking a job, her career path, a plan for additional college. She can see how her dreams can be accomplished, and she's going after them with gusto. As the moments together slipped by, I could see Sydney relax and enjoy the session.

This particular smile was one of the best. She's ready to take the world on and find laughter amid the chaos.
