Juha Lappalainen has added a photo to the pool:
I went to Kanchanaburi for a short holiday and of course I had to visit the War Cemetery. It is close to the famous “bridge over river Kwai” and it is the main Prisoner of War cemetery associated with victims of the Burma Railway. There are 6,982 former POWs buried here, mostly Australian, British and Dutch. It was quite shocking to see that most of the soldiers buried here were younger than me when they died.
I wanted the photographs to convey the tragedy so I decided to shoot in infrared and use a greenish tone.
These photographs are dedicated to the memory of all of the POWs buried here.
